We have never worked with a better contractor team.  John and his team completed a major renovation on our entire cottage during 2022-2023.  The organization and scheduling of all the work and subcontractors was efficient and timely.  The quality of the work was first class, including improving or re-doing work where we were happy as clients, but John wasn’t satisfied as the contractor.  The attention to detail and desire for perfection was impressive and comforting.  John and team often recommended cost saving measures, but also respectfully suggested appropriate upgrades and ideas that added tremendous value and utility to our project.  John’s accounting and reporting on all financial matters was also comforting – timely spreadsheets detailed with labour, materials and all associated invoices and other relevant backup.  Finally, following project completion he has been attentive and responsive to follow-ups to ensure that we are thrilled with our new cottage. We have been customers of DeCarli Contractors for more than a decade. As opposed to a major build, we have invited them to our home for many smaller projects - to build a wooden deck and gazebo on our waterfront;  to rebuild a second story balcony;  a full bathroom redesign and build; and most recently to install a complete wall-to-wall window unit in our great room.  But the project that really sold me on their commitment to quality and care was the installation of our poured concrete patio.  The original pour had some minor color variances that may have faded over time. As opposed to advising us to "live with it", the DeCarli team on their own initiative decided it was not good enough, removed the first patio and replaced it - all at their own expense.
Can't say enough about the DeCarli team.

John and his crew did a very extensive renovation on our lake home in the Muskokas during Covid. Not an ideal time to renovate for sure but we were already into when the pandemic started. While we had many supply chain issues John and his team rose to the occasion time and time again. Our place is fabulous. We’ve recommended them to close friends on our lake and they did a fabulous job there as well. Excellent experience working with John DeCarli.  He is very professional, honest, and trustworthy and was very generous with his time for our project.  What started out as a discussion about a minor renovation evolved into basically a new build cottage.
